SuperShuttle, an airport ground transportation company that services airport transportation for individuals across the nation just announced, that it will stop servicing both International Dulles Airport and Ronald Reagan National Airport. The news comes after the announcement that the company has shut down operations entirely, at the end of this year, and going out of business at the end of the year. The news from this company is not surprising as last month the company had already announced, that they would stop serving Baltimore-Washington International Airport. Also, SuperShuttle the company, announced that their sibling sedan service, ExecuCar will also be ceasing operations on December 31st. Los Angeles International Airport was notified on Tuesday, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times. Contacting SuperShuttle's representatives, we were told that people that had reservations after Dec. 31st would automatically receive refunds, but there isn't any detailed information anywhere on their website about that. This will leave many of their customers stranded in the dark wondering what will happen to their travel arrangements. Also, customers should ensure that their money has been refunded back from the company. Rumor stated that the company had lost business because of Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare services around the area, but we believe that it was because of their poor customer service which got them to shut down. A current report on their Trip Advisor shows that out of 700 reviews, the company was only a two-star company.
