It’s that time of year again.  As we write this, the holiday season is upon us, and for a lot of people that means it’s travel time.  Whether that’s a flight home to spend Thanksgiving with relatives, or maybe family is coming in to stay with you over Christmas or Hanukkah, there will more than likely be an airplane, train or car involved for you or your family members.  And to help make that a little less stressful, we have a few suggestions. Let’s assume, like most folks, your travel involves an airplane, and therefore an airport.  And what’s the last place you want to be during the holiday travel rush?  OK, maybe the mall is the last place, but what comes after that?  That’s right, the airport.  No one really enjoys traveling to and from – not to mention making their way through the airport, even in the best of times.  Traffic snarls, parking nightmares and long security lines are just some of the reasons.  And during the holiday travel season, you can almost guarantee these things will be 5 times as bad due to the increase in passengers. If you’re flying yourself, you want to allow double the usual recommended time to get to the airport, get through security, and get to your gate.  Trust us on this one.  And if you’re driving yourself, add an extra half an hour just to be sure you can find a parking space.  If you’re taking a cab, better book that way ahead of time, and call them first thing that morning to confirm they’ll be there. If you’re using one of those unregulated phone app “car services”, better reserve that car well in advance too, if you can.  And just hope you get a driver who knows the best way to get to an overcrowded Dulles.  The last thing you need on your travel day is a lost driver staring at his GPS trying to find an alternate route around the traffic. We already talked about reducing your airport stress level in a previous blog posting, and the information there is even more valid during the holidays.  So it bears repeating that if you want to take as much stress out of getting to and from the DC area airports, hire a professional.  A well trained chauffeur who knows the city, knows the routes (and the alternate routes) to get you there on time, and as relaxed as possible given the holiday bustle. And if it’s your family who’s coming to visit you for the holidays, wouldn’t you feel more comfortable and confident knowing a professional is handling their transportation to you?  It’s one less thing to worry about, and one small way to make the holidays a little less stressful. We can’t help with your in-laws arguing over dinner, or an overcrowded bathroom in your house, but at least you won’t have to add traffic and airport messes to your list of holiday chores.  So take a look at our DC limousine fleet page, submit your free limo price quote request, or just give us a call.  We’re here 24/7 to help you with your holiday travel transportation needs. Thanks for reading, and happy holidays!...

You have a business trip coming up.  You’re a frequent flyer and travel weekly. You know the routine. Plan ahead and get to the airport at the crack of dawn. Obviously, there are plenty of transportation choices when it comes to getting to DC area airports.  You could drive yourself, take a cab, take a bus, or use an amateur phone application car services, but is that really ideal? Why stress out even more about worrying about how to get to the airport. Driving yourself is the worst choice because you have to wait in traffic, then park in their over-priced parking lots (assuming the lots are not full when you get there).  Then during your entire your trip, you will probably be worrying is my car safe, is it still there, or will it be broken into? So you said, okay skip driving, lets take a cab? Sure, they’re everywhere, and in most cases will get you there.  But it’s a gamble, since you never know who will show up, what condition the vehicle is in, and whether or not they know where they’re going – will they take the fast way, or the long way? You also don't know how long you will be waiting for the taxi too. Then on your return trip, you will have to worry about the same issues getting back home. Driving, and Cabs are not an ideal choice, so we decide, what about the bus? Providing if the bus is on time, and you left early enough to try to make it, is it worth it after all those stops? You never know how much traffic will be, how many stops the bus will take, and that might delay you which will cause worry about you missing your flight. Also, is the bus a comfortable or relaxing experience? Do you really need to ask? So now you have your last option, the dreaded amateur phone-app car service? You will definitely get a ride, but who will show up? and when they do show up, will they know the Washington DC area enough to drive without staring at the GPS the entire time? They might be inexperienced driving in DC, and this will make you late. You might get lucky.  The price is cheap, but this is a big part of why it’s cheap.  You get what you pay for.  It’s not exactly the best way to eliminate stress, and there's no certainty who you're getting. If you're still reading this, then you're probably asking, what are your options? Well have you thought about a limousine service? Well, it’s definitely going to be huge step above your previous options.  Sure, we’re a little biased since we are a limo company, but we’ve been doing this for a very long time, and we know how to get you to the airport in the best way possible.  We will show up on time, and navigate the most efficient routes – and we don’t need to use a GPS to do it.  Your ride will be a pleasant and relaxing experience. You will be at ease knowing that you have the privacy and comfort of your own ride. You’ll arrive at the airport on time. Then ready to deal with the lines and security hassles. (We're sorry that we can’t really help you there, but at least you will start that process in a better mood than if you had used any of the other transportation options that we talked about!) If this sounds good to you, check out our choices of limousine fleets (we have sedans and shuttles too!), or give us a call any time for more information.  We’re available 24/7/365, and our professional chauffeurs are ready to get you where you’re going, in comfort and in style.  The best part, when you return from your trip, we can be there for you too! Thanks for reading, and enjoy your trip! ...
